The Georgia Flag Football State Championships adheres to the MCFFU (Metro Competitor Flag Football Union) and the USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) rulebook, with several minor modifications. The Georgia State Championship Tournament is played by USSSA/MCFFU rules.

 The GA State Championship is currently seeking individuals and/or organizations to host State Qualifiers throughout the year for the GA State Championships presented by NIKE and Impact Sports this coming March 2009.

The Georgia Flag Football State Championships will be played between December/January of each year and will consist of the states most popular styles; youth and adult.
The results gathered from both participating, Parks and Recreation as well as independent leagues will be used to rank teams in their respective styles and divisions, and seed them in the Georgia State Championships accordingly.
